BLOG - MARCH 2025

Updated: Apr 7

Hi and first an apology that the BLOG is late this month. It's been a busy one for many reasons, but one big one which I'll reveal later...📚

Henry Basketball Tournament Winner

At the start of March my son, Henry, had success with his basketball team, winning a mini-Tournament in Cambridge. It was such a great win too as they were the underdogs, having recently lost to the 2 teams they played in the Semi-Final and Final. All 3 games were played in 1 day so it took a toll on their bodies, with one player playing with a suspect fractured wrist during the final game, Henry had a badly bruised hip and leg from a recent football match and a cut inner lip from basketball the day before, PLUS got a cut outer lip in the 1st game of the day! Anyway, they went on to win the tournament, coming from behind in the last 2 games even with all the injuries. It was very emotional !

We also went to watch Henry in a school drama performance where a group of 4 friends were performing part of a play called "Bouncers", set in the 1980's where a young group of friends first start going out, going to bars, meeting girls, getting drunk and invariably getting into trouble. It was a lot of fun and brought back memories of our youth!

March is a busy month of family birthdays for us, so we went out to celebrate Michael's birthday, my Sister-in-Laws birthday, my Dad's birthday and Mother's Day all in one. We had a nice meal at a lovey country pub near Colchester and the gluten-free options for me were great. It's something I always struggle with when we go out, but pubs/restaurants are really improving in what they offer, so it's getting easier.

Susannah's Kitchen reaches 20,000 YouTube Subscribers

On 23rd March my YouTube channel reached 20,000 Subscribers which is amazing. I started the channel 3 years ago just showing a few gluten-free recipes and GF ingredients/food I'd find in supermarkets to help people with the same intolerance. THEN I bought the Ninja Foodi 15-in-1 and everything changed when I started posting a few recipes using this amazing multicooker. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed over the last 3 years and supported me along the way. I wouldn't have produced my cook books without the encouragement and support received from you on my YouTube channel. To show my thanks I gave away 20% discount off my "99 Ninja Foodi Recipes" Cook Book and Recipe Subscriptions until the end of March. I hope you took advantage of that ?

Lastly, one of the main reasons it's been a busy month (well, to be honest I've been working on it since January), is that I have a new Recipe Book coming out soon ☺️! It's another Ninja Foodi cook book (of course) and will again be a high quality hardback with lots of colour photographs (a large pic of every recipe) with QR code links to my videos which everyone seems to love, based on the reviews received. The book is called "4 SEASONS" with 200+ pages and will contain 80 delicious recipes for you to create through each season; Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. It will have a similar format to the current book with a full ingredients list (with GF/DF options), easy to follow method, calories, timings and all the Ninja Foodi functions are covered.

I still have lots of recipe videos to edit and there's some final tweaks to do, but the plan is to offer "4 SEASONS" on Pre-Order some time in May for delivery towards the end of July. I've also been able to reduce the cost of this book for you too but retaining the same great quality. But the great news is, the Pre-Order price will be even cheaper ! We will also be offering a reduced price "bundle" for those that haven't bought the current book and don't forget - many of you have accumulated SK Loyalty Points to get even more money off too! So this recipe book is going to be great value for money and I hope you're as excited about it as I am ?

To show your interest, please click the link below as it would help us to know how many books to bulk-order from our printers to satisfy the initial demand...

Thank you once again for all your support, the lovely comments on my YouTube & Facebook, plus all the positive book reviews. It's much appreciated and keeps me driven to provide more and more recipes for you all.

Great! Have tried lots of recipes from the website and not disappointed with any of them. Hope to the bundle as I don’t have the original book. Looking forward to it!
